Food Pilot ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information (name, email address)
• Dietary preferences and meal time settings
• Meal logging data (whether you ate breakfast, lunch, dinner)
• Optional health details you choose to share (allergies, dietary conditions), used only to tailor AI meal suggestions
• Subscription status (whether you have an active Premium subscription)
• Usage data and app interactions

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain our service
• Send you meal reminders at your preferred times
• Display your eating patterns and progress
• Generate personalized AI meal suggestions
• Manage your Premium subscription and unlock its features
• Show ads to users on the free plan
• Improve and optimize our app

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase services. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (authentication and data storage)
• Google Sign-In (authentication)
• Sign In with Apple (authentication)
• OpenAI (AI meal suggestions: your dietary preference, country, and any health details you shared are sent to generate a suggestion; they are not used to train models)
• RevenueCat (subscription management: receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history from Apple, never your payment details)
• Google AdMob (advertising shown to free users)

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are purchased through, and billed by, Apple's App Store. We never receive or store your card or bank details. We only learn whether your subscription is active so we can unlock Premium features, via RevenueCat, which links your purchase to an anonymous app user ID.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. To delete your account, open the app and go to Settings, then tap "Delete Account". This immediately and permanently removes everything we hold about you: your profile, meal logs, streaks and achievements, quests, AI usage counters, and your sign-in record. It cannot be undone, and we keep no copy.

If you cannot access the app, submit a request through our account deletion form or email us at support@foodpilot.app and we will delete it for you. Note that a paid subscription is billed by Apple and is not cancelled by deleting your account; cancel it in your App Store subscription settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 9 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 9.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
